As those of you who've seen the 'Alien Encounters' DVD will know, at one of the Q&A sessions with Terry English & Al Matthews at the UK Sci-Fi Weekend last year I presented Al with a framed set of enamel Aliens badges, very kindly donated by Mike Rush.

At the time I felt a bit embarrassed as I had nothing to present to Terry as well, although he only confirmed his being at the event a week or so before the date so we weren't sure if he was going to be there.

Last week (and yes, I know it was VERY late!) I sent Terry a framed set of badges and a copy of the DVD and he called me on Saturday night to say thanks to us all for the lovely surprise.

I mentioned that we're doing the Sci-Fi weekend again this year and he said that he'd love to come along and be involved as he had such a great time last year. :)

Yeah sure would be nice to see Terry at a D Con. You guys quit hogging them over there!!!!

Terry was such a great guest, very giving of his time and enlightening with his stories.

I'd take that offer in a heartbeat. But you must also realize that the guests we get invited to US cons are often not the caliber of a REAL movie star. :)

That's great news Harry, well done. Terry is an entertaining and fascinating man. Its great that you sent him a set of badges. Roll on the next AE!
