The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

This pic seems to show that there's nothing holding the front of the shroud area to the top of the GL cage, only at the very front of the cage/barrel vent.

In Willie's pics on page 18 of this thread the front part of the shroud is tight up against the top of the GL, keeping it looking level, but there appears to be a gap in your pic. :?

Still can't wait for mine to turn up though. 8)

What's wrong in China????

Hollywood Collectibles Group seems to be like Product Enterprise. Enthusiasm was high, excitement was high and we have fallen into a big hole of disappointment. :|

Spawsome? I'm afraid not...this is one of the infamous rcrobert kits before he.....moved on.
Noeland took it and worked his magic for me many years ago so its a one of a kind RCNoeland kit :)

As for the gap between the shroud and GL....yes its there and its a big gap.
I'd say I could fit a pound coin in there almost.

Jesus does that ever look off! :? :(

It looks as if no attention was made to the fact the SPAS cage has that slight rise at the front. There should be some kind of spacer (such as what Tom makes) at the rear of the cage so it will align properly.

Well, the originals had two bolts holding the Spas cage to the Thompson,
which is mimicked in Tom's barrel block design.

I can't imagine it will be too terrible of a thing for people to open up and modify the
rifle to add a spacer of some sort.

Granted, you "shouldn't" need to do any repairs to a new item, but if that's all
you have to complain about regarding a licensed Pulse Rifle, you can always
go buy a recast of the last licensed rifle (Icons) as sold by Golden Armor...
and then compare the "accuracy" of the two items. ;)

Russ, if I end up getting the Brown Bess by mistake, I will absolutely trade with you. I'm one of those nutcases who likes (and ordered) the OD.

Hopefully I'll be getting mine today.

I got my rifle, and it is indeed AWESOME, but it is the correct OD version I ordered. Sorry Russ!

From HCG's website.

No droopage in the SPAS and the front of the shroud is clearly up against the GL securely.

The shrouds on this piece are beautiful.....but after spending a weekend mulling it over....it pains me to say I'm unhappy with the rest :(
I do not plan on taking it apart for the shrouds, I want a complete Pulse Rifle.
I'll wait on a response from HCG to see what happens.

It really does pain me to say it and I know what you mean Russ, tough to get more accurate.....but I'm just not happy giving them almost $1,000 and getting this in return :(
