The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi REBECCA - I am o-l-d and I wish I could take you back to the first time I saw ALIEN in a big dark theatre. At the time all most people knew was the tense, myterious PR campaign by the studio and the now famous tagline IN SPACE NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM...when KANE's moment came, adults around me actually did scream. It became one of my very few 10's in a long list of films.

Welcome to the site (I'm fairly new also)...a lot of very knowledgeable people here. Have fun!
JANIS

Yeah, nothing like the first time seeing alien,I was six,my parents could'nt find a babysitter I had to go,granted it was'nt as scary as seeing the first halloween, but close enough.I spent most of the scary scenes with my hands over my eyes but I remember. And when aliens came out ,that's all it took,I wish they would re release both in 3D that would rock, sad ,they don't make movies like that anymore. :(

Hello all,
My name is Don and Im from Myrtle Beach,SC. My children have become obsessed with cosplay and have passed the bug onto me. They asked me what I would want to go as and at the top of a short list was a Colonial Marine. Ive been a sci-fi fan all of my life and one of my favorite movies was Aliens. Being ex-army and an gun collector, having a M41A in my collection will top it off nicely. I hope to meet some of you at future events. There are not many events in SC but we do have a small one called X-con here at the beach. I am currently on work assignment in El Salvador and home for short visits. I have a ton of time on my hands here and hope to build most of my costume here, then ship it home. Wish me luck!

Hi All.

I'm chris and have been a fan of the Alien movies for years, my particular favorite is Aliens.

I have played airsoft for many years and have always wanted a pulse rifile ever since I first some them some 6 - 7 years ago i think but they had a price tag of £1000 - £1500 bit out of my price range.

However finaly this weekend I built my G&P kit that I got last week into the gun I've always wanted :)

So whats next a sentry gun me thinks, I've seen them on youtube so they can be made to work.

See you all around

Chris

Hi all,
I Rebecca though i am only 13 i'm the resident sci-fi geek of my school and neighborhood. I love the alien series so much though Avp is not the greatest thing in the world to me. Me and my friends (okay mostly me) only recently started being cosplayers or whatever but i hope this site helps, plus were making an abridged series though i doubt we'll ever get the first episode done.

Greetings, my name is Stoo and I live in England. I've loved Aliens since I first saw it as a kid and I'm fascinated by everything to do with the U.S.C.M. Aside from my love of Aliens, I also have a massive fetish for Beer, Cigarettes, METAL and fast cars. I'm married with 2 kids and I install fire alarms, intruder alarms and cctv for a living. errrr..... I have a car and a van...................I play bass...........errrrrrrrr...... Oh well, can't think of anything else about me that anyone might give a crap about!

Hi everybody,
I just registered and wanted to introduce myself. I have been collecting replica movie props for years, ALIENS, Star Wars, Idny, etc. I have always wanted to get some USCM armor together and I'm finally able to start.
Later

Hey everyone,

My name is Jason and I'll be trolling around the boards to research Colonial Marine costumes. Currently, I've worked on just Star Wars costumes- Count Dooku, Biker Scout, Captain Antilles and most recently, Chewbacca- so venturing out to a new genre should be fun.

Thanks!

Jason

Hello,
I met my local CM group, B/3-7 when I moved to Maryland almost a year ago and joined their forums. I'm only now getting around to joining here. I would like to make a colonist costume and I'm playing with the idea of making a heavy weapons CM costume. I have several other movie and TV costumes but I'm always looking to expand into new areas of costuming fun.

Thanks
-Richard

Greetings Just found this place and thought I'd sign up! I've been a fan for longer than I care to remember saw Aliens when it came out in '86 and Alien on TV before that! Interests in both full size and 1/6th scale Marines. Aliens also got me into other "Grunts in Space" movies like Starship Troopers, DOOM, Stargate etc

I suppose the next thing I should do is request a serial number and find myself a cool and more importantly unique avatar! ;)

Hello fellow xeno snacks . . . errr . . . recruits.

My name is simply Rob aka Maphisto86. Or just "the new kid" . . . whichever you prefer.
Long time Aliens and Predator fan and I just thought I would join this nifty outfit. I will try to swing by as often as possible but I am a drifter so if I don't come by for months on end only to be found covered in slime and attatched to the bulkheads again, don't worry.

I dunno how many times I've told Abe to quit sticking folk to bulkheads, but he just won't listen!

I think he sees us Marines as the Alien equivalent of magnetic letters on a fridge door :|

Hello all, my name's Terry and I'm an "Aliens" addict.

Actually I'm a fairly big fan of most things sci-fi. I joined the 501st Legion over two years ago just to give me an excuse to walk around in stormtrooper armor (as well as see all the kids' faces light up), and after that I promised myself that I would turn my attention to working on putting together a colonial marine outfit. Well, after a 1+ year side-track on another Star Wars armor project, I'm finally ready to get the marine lock & loaded. I'm looking forward to researching and getting to know everyone here.

Oh, and here's the project that kept me from starting my marine earlier:
Image

Not trying to push another genre on anyone. ;) It's just that this kit took up so much of my time that I'm proud to show it off!

Hi everybody

Name is Ben. Live in sunny Coventry here in the heart of England. I manage an airsoft shop and am a huge Aliens fan. Always loved the marine corp.

Just fulfilled one of my ambitions by picking up an M41a. Now to work on the rest of the clobber, and then have to wait another 3 years for Mandala LRP to run there next Alone game. (LRP set in a pseudo universe with Aliens. They built a Queen for the last game).

Well thats enough from me so signing out for now.
