The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Greetings everyone! Name's Harri, location Finland. Born 1986 and I think I saw my first Alien movie when I was around 6-7. My dad has always loved them and through that I also grew to love them. After seeing Aliens, I have always wanted a set of gear as the CM's had in the movie. Now that I am older and the know-how on how to do props and other items has grown, I have undertaken this project. I've lurked around this board and it has a wealth of knowledge and information that I can use to make the stuff a lot better. Glad I found this place, it has a friendly atmosphere and I am glad to be here! I'll see you all around the dropships! Oorah!

Thanks for the welcome! Will inform about future drops in Helsinki. I do not think that I have seen anyone with USCM gear here in Finland before. Well someone has to start it, don't you agree?

Hi all, just wanted to say a quick hello. I'm a 34 year old architect from San Francisco and got seriously into props about 3 years ago. Recently I pulled the trigger and scooped a SD studios pulse rifle kit over on the RPF. I know that this is the place for all things Alien so I felt now was the time to join up here. Really looking forward to the build and taking advantage of the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

Cheers

Chris

Hello, everyone! I'm a new cosplayer, 27, currently in college after serving in the USMC. I already know a few people on the board, and figured I should join since I'm interested in the Alien/Aliens universe. I'm working on a few more costumes, and I'm interested in getting input and assistance from everyone.

Good evening everyone,

My name is Zach and I am a long time lover of the Aliens franchise, especially everyone's favorite badasses: the colonial marines!

Im a us army veteran myself abd I guess just need a little push to portray a leatherneck, future or not haha

I have been wanting to make a colonial marine uniform/armor for years. Right now I am thinking of starting with a 'soft' kit of buds, patches, boots, and cover. Im wondering if Spat is just the way to go or if the Polish Desert is worth the conversion.

Sorry if this isn't the right place for that question. Anyway, thanks in advance for the help.

Zach

Hi all
I am report ting on the ready line.
Longtime ALIEN fan.

Stumbled on this board by accident and decided to enlist.
Have played around with the idea of building a set of USCM amour for years and my kids have bugged dad to finally do it.
My goal is to have a couple of Marines ready for the Armageddon con next year in October.
I also have two nerf rifles that I will mod out as pulse rifles.

Currently playing ALIENS ACM when ever I get a chance.
Thankfully I am not a hardcore gamer so I am still happy with the game.
Heck, it is best ALIENS based game in my opinon and you get to run around Hadleys Hope being chased by XENOMORPHs.
Doesn't get much better than that
Oohraaaa Marines :D

Hi all Tusky here
Longtime fan of the ALIEN saga, ALIENS is my favorite by far.
I am a costumer, ex make up artist.

Play ALIENS ACM whenever I get a chance and will probably never stop playing it.
I mean seriously how often do you get to move around Hadley's Hope or the SULACO being ripped apart by the deadliest creature in the universe?.

Have been stalking this site foe a little while now.
Currently a member of The Hunter Lair also.
Looking forward to making my USCM uniform and armour.
Tusky out

If you're building armour for your kids (as mentioned in your other post), you might want to look here:
