That's what Randy at NECA told me. He offered me a free figure if I could convince her to let him user her likeness.

It's bad that people here can just talk to the actors and actresses from the film like this. Not saying its bad I think it's kool that they luv us that much here.

I wonder if that is the real problem? Do we know that Neca is offering to pay them? I remember reading about Al Mathews problem with the Hot Toys figures and while I never actually heard/read him say so, the implication was he felt he wasnt being compensated (not at all, or not enough? I dont know).

But his point was that he felt he had creative rights to the character and they were just attempting to capitalize on it. His problem with Neca is probably the same thing.

Perhaps we might be shooting ourselves in the foot, but maybe our appeals shouldnt be to Jeanette and Mr. Mathews, but our appeals should be for Neca to bump there offer! (or possibly even make one, as ms. Goldstein has hinted).

If only to be a fly on the wall during those meetings! I honestly dont know what I "hope" the problem is (Neca or the actor/actress), but I hope they can work it out!

In other news, anyone have anything concrete to support the following 2 rumors I'm hearing (on other boards)??? Supposedly its all from twitter but I dont twitter...

-Neca WILL do the queen!

-The "battle damaged/exploading" aliens will be part of "2-packs" that include one marine WITH DIFFERENT HEADS (diff expressions, HELMETS) and a damaged Warrior.

Hell, I'll help in paying Al and Jenette to allow their likeness to be used!

Not that it's the same thing, but Al did just let his voice and likeness be used for Gearbox's game, so does that hint that NECA wasn't willing to pay enough?
