I've been in contact with a Pukka Sales rep and she has this to say:

"All our hats are completely custom and built from scratch for each order, so our program has a 48 piece minimum on most styles and then we are able to change the fabric and colors every 12 pieces to get a few looks. We can remove the Pukka Icon from the outside of the hat though!"

I've replied with:

"[...] I belong to an online fan community of a popular sci-fi film franchise ("Aliens"), and these types of hats would be very popular among that group as we can replicate a hat from the films very easily and even add our own personalization. Is there a possibility for a minimum order of say, 1 dozen or even a half-dozen (6)? It might be more attractive for a single person to order a smaller amount versus finding multiple people interested in ordering a large quantity.

I'll be sharing the information you give me with that group and hopefully it will generate some sales.

"We may be able to get away with an opening order of 24 pieces, but unfortunately we are unable to produce less than that for one order. All our hats are completely custom and built from scratch for each order, so unfortunately we are unable to produce single unit or small quantity orders. [...]"

Honestly I just inserted an image to better visualize the overall look. I can ask, but I'd guess it would be printed. Could be a cool way to create other ships hats. Or just order 24 blank hats, say 12 black, 12 navy and put your own patches on
