The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Weird. A month ago, the CEO of Gearbox said it was Autumn 2012. I hope they haven't been forced to rush it out the door...

I've heard nothing on the Sega mailing lists yet.

I've preordered now on Amazon, mainly because they are really good at emailing about changes in release dates.

Yeh Play.com don't tell you if an item gets put back, you have to keep checking the date for yourself :(

Late last year all the sites were saying the end of this month, but then in late Jan Gearbox announced it'd been put back to "Fall 2012":
viewtopic.php?p=166201#p166201

A lot of sites haven't updated their web pages with the new date.

I went to ask at Gamestop, but the guy couldn't seem to get past the fact that I asked him about it so he was incapable of looking it up

Hmm... Surprised they didn't even check on their systems for you. Both the Game & Gamestation websites have it listed as August 2012:-

http://www.game.co.uk/en/aliens-colonia ... m=colonial marines
http://www.gamestation.co.uk/gs/aliens- ... m=colonial marines

A bit more interesting was that whilst in a branch of HMV this week I noticed they had a couple of dummy packs & summary info. in their 'Coming Soon' section. Admittedly it was still slated just as 'Autumn 2012' but it's the first time I've seen any mention of it in a high street shop.

Cheers.

John. :)

GAME and GAMESTATION will have gone under before CM comes out. The way GAME keep cancelling pre-orders I'd be suprised if it makes it to the summer.

LOL! Admittedly I seldom buy from them. Just check out the shops if I happen to be passing. I generally get games from Play.com or Amazon etc... And yes their release dates are very unreliable from time to time too! If I go by the Play.com website I'll still be eagerly awaiting my copy on March 30th!

I was still peasantly surprised to see it openly publicised so early in HMV though.

Cheers.

John. :)

My guess was it was going to come out this spring but got pushed back to be a launch title for the ne Nintendo wiiu wicth has a screen on its controller . Which definitely is going to have a motion tracker game elmentary on it as you play . This would make a hot launch title for the new Luke warm realse Nintendo system . Make sense Nintendo would pay them extra to push the relase date back . My guess

Except it's only being released on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

No mention of it on the Gearbox web site:

http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/games/aliens/

or the Sega site:

http://www.sega.co.uk/alienscolonialmar ... =EnglishUK

Maybe it'll be worked on after the current game is released?
