Late to the party here as new to the board...

The miniatures are awesome but I think the gameplay isn't as good as the old Leading Edge classic - there's a reason why that bad boy is going for a LOT of cash on the secondhand market now.

Fortunately if you have some minimal computer and arts and craft skills you can make a PNP version, and if you really want to go to town you can make the map boards from files that fans have developed over on BGG which are larger than the original LE game maps and that you can use those beautiful AAGDITC miniatures.

Just my opinion but I prefer the Leading Edge version.

I hate the miniatures. I found them awkward to put together, and fragile.

My Newt is already missing an arm and the alien warriors aren’t very secure on the bases
