The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

G'day Sarge,

If you'd be so kind, I need a 'Collectormania: Glasgow' ribbon added to the listing. I also need one of the D*Con ones removed, I only just noticed I have two listed but have only attended once.

Thanks!

Morning Sarge,
I too would like a couple of drop ribbons added to the AP Richardson listing.

2x Glasgow Colony (Collectormania in August and November)

Also, please amend my awarded ribbons to 2x Leicester Colony and 1x Milton Keynes Colony.

Cheers :)

All updates done... and I'd like to apologize for the long wait... I've been taking a little "me" time.

On that note, I'd like to kick off the new year with a little pledge drive! Your gift of one solitary dollar will help to pay and maintain my image host on which your ribbons are kept and updated.

Are you obliged? Absolutely not! Can you give more? I wouldn't take it! A single buck from all of you will help to pay for the image hosting.

Feel generous? Paypal to cplbeaudoin at hotmail.com

Thanks in advance for your generousity.

A few changes have been made to the awards:

Memorial

Pte Chris Chulamanis Ribbon
Awarded to a Marine who served at any drop or patrol in uniform during a year of mourning of a Colonial Marine.

What this means: In the event of another loss of a comrade, a numeral shall be added to the existing ribbon. New awards shall be given to Marines serving in any future year of mourning.

Numerals for multiple achievements:

For the following decorations only:

Valor in Adverse Service Medal
Colonial Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon
Multi Force Decoration (Awarded for each branch of service, eg: Cadets, JROTC, ROTC, Military, Coast Guard & Police)
Aid to the Civil Power
Pte Chulamanis Memorial

Bronze Star for two awards, Silver star for three awards, Gold Star for four awards.

What this means: All of the awards will not or no longer have digit numerals, but uniquely stars for more than one citation. The MFD recipients with service in more than one "real-world" force will qualify for stars. eg: I was in the Air Cadets and in the Army, therefore I earn a Bronze Star. Devildog will also get a bronze star for being in the USMC and a police officer. Theoretically, someone in ROTC, Army, transfers to Air Force and then releases and becomes a cop would get a Gold Star. You also get my admiration, Jack.

A few of you will qualify for changes, if you have a MFD ribbon and have served in multiple forces, please let me know ASAP.

Dom, you'll need to chuck me in for an MFD x 2, regular and territorial British Army.

And I should only have the one Atlanta ribbon. :)

Cheers!

Heya Dom!

I believe I qualify for the silver MFD, due to: Army JROTC (high school), USMC, Law Enforcement.

I like the changes you've put forth regarding stars, etc. I think it looks great!

EDIT: Re-reading your post brings up a question: You mention a star for each military branch (and you cite an example), which I agree with. Does this apply to Law Enforcement entities as well? Meaning, if you worked for a Sheriff's Office, left, then now work for a Police Department?

I certainly don't mean to split hairs, but... I'm just curious. With reason.

You sure can... I'll get on it ASAP.

Derek, let's categorize each branch which will give each award:

1- Cadets (All elements)
2- ROTC, JROTC, Royal Military College (Or any academic military institution eg. West Point, etc.)
3- National Service Military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines)
4- Coast Guard
5- Civil Law Enforcement (Police, Sherriff, FBI, RCMP, State Trooper, O.P.P., Sûreté du Québec, Secret Service, Homeland Security, Border Guard)
6- Intelligence (NSA, CIA, CSIS, MI6)

In for nitpickers, Military Police, Regimental Police or Shore Patrol service is one award, not two.

Thanks very much to Tony for hosting this:
http://www.colonialmarines.net/svcno/ServiceMedalList.xls

With this very easy to use Excel file I've created, you can track each of your ribbons as well know which items you need to purchase from http://www.glendale.com to make a ribbon rack for your uniform. Simply enter the appropriate SKUs into the website's search criteria and you're on your way!
