The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Yeah, but Dave had one helluva good reason for not joining us this year!

Yeah bro, I caught just how "close" you and her were when you called me over in the Marriott bar! Well done brother, well done! 8)

Now, you'll have to ask me how I did...

Hmmm, 'cept it was Starship Trooper "shipping out"...not USCM

Marines, I'd like to introduce you to the Colonial Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon.
Image
Awarded to those who have actively participated in or supported surface combat against hostile extraterrestrials or in a colony sweep.

Who qualifies? Any Colonial Marine member who participated in a colony sweep either in uniform or in a hostile alien costume or as a photographer, still or video.

This award has multiple citations for years of participation, bronze star for two citations, silver star for three citations and gold star for four citations.

I have tried to be as accurate as possible, if I've omitted anyone or have not given you the correct amount of citations, please advise me.

Enjoy.

I participated in the first colony sweep this year (that's me standing to your left in Cpl. Potter's pic, above, Dom)-- as did Sgt. Rob Slater, Pvt. Sean Camp and Pvt. Mark Switzer from the Maryland Squad.

Man, that was fun.

..... my shoulder hurts.

Not really.

Edit: Oh, look at that. It's already there.

Heh! Cool! Thanks Dom! 8)

I wondered why my rack looked different- I couldn't figured out where and what the new ribbon was at first.

Glad I didn't order some 10 ribbon racks just yet!

Dom queried me when I bought the 8 ribbon one. :D

If anyone from the UK is about to order some ribbons, I need to order two ribbons to complete my set, so would like to add them to an existing order and split the shipping, as it'll work out rather pricey for just two. :?

I'd offer to help but UK-Eire shipping would really negate the whole purpose of the exercise...

Ah well.

I don't seem to have had my ribbons updated yet. I need one for the Portsmouth Drop.

I'm also wondering if I qualify for the Operations Merit ribbon as well as I watched the table at Portsmouth - though it wasn't for an hour in one long stint, it was more like 2 hours in half hour blocks.
