The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Wow, what a weekend. Sitting in the hotel just now ready for a good feed and a good nights sleep ready for the 5 to 6 hour drive home to the real north.

Absolutely loved taking part in the AE. I loved how the script evolved and became fluid.

Something happened, which having never done it before I'm not sure is normal, but each squad Sgt had the last word on what happened on their shift. Small alterations were added and sometimes dropped if the relief squad Sgt wasn't comfortable with it.
I think the Sgt take control of each shift in such matters makes perfect sense.

Absolutely loved the very last run for the UKG folk tonight. I scared the crap out of Bolty!... WIN.

All in all a brilliant weekend. Well done do all involved and especialy Gareth/Abe for getting the tech arranged fixed and generally making it work. And thank you to Malika for inviting us!

I had a blast this weekend - possibly the most fun I'd had in a long time. :D It was a bit of a shock being drafted into the AE first thing sat morning, especially as normally that sort of thing isn't for me.....however......after a few runs I was loving it (aside from being terrified!). Hopefully my shaky acting hasn't spoiled the effect of the AE!

I'm really looking forward to the next drop (wherever and whenever) and would like to thank all involved over the weekend for an awesome time.

Thanks guys (and gals!)

Steve

Kona down and clear.

Big thanks to everyone involved for a fantastic weekend, and to friends old and new. Especially big thanks to Baz for getting Sarah there and home again :)

Now I collapse with a throat screamed hoarse!

You were solid in the AE Steve, don't sell yourself short. Got great footage, and loved the AE lab room with johnny, Steve and Coop. Expect a better post when I get home!

I'm glad everything went well, sorry I couldn't be at this one - I spent Saturday drinking cocktails in Soho followed by front-row seats at 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert' - that's almost as manly as the AE though, right? ;)

What an awesome weekend!

Thanks to everyone who made is so amazing. Special thanks to everyone who helped me out with setting up and tidying up, and helped me not get stressy!

I didn't see much outside of the AE, but when Abe had a walkaround he told me that the UKCM area looked great.

Malika: Thanks for letting us play in NSC, and for organising a great event!

I just want to thank everyone for such a brilliant weekend. It's once again shown why the NSC is one of the highlights of the year for me :D

My stomach muscles are still hurting after all of that laughing on Saturday night! I took loads of pics and I'll post them somewhere or other as soon as I can.

:( Knew I was going to miss a great weekend, didn't realise I was going to miss a BRILLIANT weekend! :D

Well done to all concerned, it sounds like a sterling effort by all concerned.

Really good to hear that it was yet another success.

Next year the Clangers and Jonesy will be there with bells on!

For those I spoke to about our absence I'm happy to report that it was a job well done at our end.

Cheers,

Andy

That's me down and clear.

Wow.... what a weekend.

So many funny moments in the AE, I can't explain them all.
I'll not spoil the funniest of all though, you need to see the footage shot by Jake for that.

But the second funniest moment was in the 2nd to last run of the AE. Sarge shouts "Whats the situation here?"
To which Bolty as Grunt 2 replied: "We've just been attacked by huge great big hissing things, that's what!"

NICE!

I just did a lot of bad soldering and then ponced around in a latex costume!

If anyone needs a mention after Malika, it would be Darren - he's the one who kicked everyone's ass into gear!

DW, down and clear. Fucking trains.

Frankly, it was one of the best weekends of the year for me. Big thanks to everyone involved.
G for the lend of the camera,

Rusti and Scapey for the drawing and printing of the t-shirts,

Everyone involved in the AE for making it memorable, every single runthrough. From Darren's amazing comic timing [video incoming], to "you in the christmas jumper" to my barrel roll, to being taking out and teabagged by the aliens in front of the UKG, it was amazing to be a part of.

Data for driving me to/from and putting up with my incredible desire to sleep all weekend!

and everyone that attended for being generally awesome company. I've got videos that I'll work on shortly, and photos which i'll facebook now, for those of you that don't have me, I'm http://www.facebook.com/JTucker89

A fair point that you raised the idea of doing t-shirts for the NSC, but you may have also noticed a fair few of us wearing t-shirts done for the 2006 and 2007 NSC events, so it's not a new idea, just one that has lapsed as Paul's workload has increased.
