Get 'em in, folks! If you think it's something I won't have, either bring it on a CD you KNOW FOR A FACT WILL NOT SKIP, or gimme a shout and I'll arrange to get an MP3 off you. NAE PISH! Also, there's a chance we'll have some Rock Band on the go. this worked very well when I DJed the gaming convention at Glasgow University - Basically, I mixed between normal tunes on the DJ gear, and if someone fancied a go at Rock Band, would cue them in as normal. If they Fail the song, I mix back to the CDs/MP3s again. So if anyone fancies anything currently available on Playstation 3 Rock Band DLC... Yeah, Don't just roll extended metal. I'm okay for a bit of metal, but you can't talk over it, and if you're not a metal fan, it gets old real quickly. |

OK - First rule... No antirequests. Everyone gets a fair shout at having stuff played. I won't be playing metal all night, although if folk ask for it I will play it. Same goes for all genres except happy hardcore, R&B and fecking Jedward. This is a party, not an underground thrash night - So you can pretty much forget Cannibal Corpse or Slayer. The heaviest I'm likely to go is Metallica/Maiden kinda stuff. Second rule... Please ask for SONGS, not genres. Third rule... If I'm playing something on the night that you dislike, ask me to play a specific song that you do like. Anyone asking me to "Stop playing shit!" will be roundly ignored and dismissed as an ignoramus and a buffoon. Anyone asking me to "Play something good" will recieve 3.5 minutes of Utah Saints. Fourth rule... I won't play the same song twice. Fifth rule... I won't play more than a couple of songs by the same band. Sixth rule... If you request a song, and nobody else dances - You have to dance. |
