The air was thick with anticipation and flopsweat as the earlybirds flooded in. Sticky fingers running over various artillery, the attendees seemed heartilly impressed at the Sunday of Collectormania Glasgow 2010. Your ace reporter Mike Watters was on the scene to grab the story by the lowdowns!

Image

The Echo caught up with the marines of the Hadrian's Wall of the UKCM running security.

Image

Cpl Nunyafuckinbusiness referred to the event as a clusterfrak, but he seems to be an angry angry man.

Image

"He was a good man" he shouts, gesturing at the shirt bearing the name of one Cpl Hicks. "He died a marine!" grabbing some chow, he begins muttering about 'kitchen white goods'. He gestured at strange men in white suits, hassling the colonists.

Image

"Walking toilet bowls, and you can quote me!" So we did quote him. "I think ill try to infiltrate their ranks, find out whats going on, maybe freak them out a bit" he said. And best of luck to him!

Image

"Do you see any insignia?" replies a huge marine when asked for his name and rank.

Image

"Hey! No photos!" The Echo certainly doesnt want to offend special forces, so we dont press the matter, instead enquiring as to what he makes of the female company at the show?

Image

"Hey, it dont matter when its Arcturian!"

Image

Pvt McRae on his first combat drop with the Wall, was sat by the prop display watching the lovlies pass.
"Beautiful" He remarks, before unslinging his Pulse rifle. Then a second. So you like firepower then?

Image

"Yeah! Is nice! Superior firepower is the only way we're ever going to achieve peace." We left Pvt McRae trying to figure out a way to weild four pulse rifles at once, most likely involving duct tape. The colonists seemed a bit edgy at that thought, and I dont blame them.

Image

"Its interesting" Says Pvt Craig, dropship pilot for the Wall. "The lack of bugs today is dissapointing, not so good." He pauses to take a bite of his lunch. "Whats this crap supposed to be?" He scowls, before turning and retreating to the storage area, for what business we con only guess.

Image

"Its been a pretty good event so far" Says Cpl Scapegoat. "I found this in the airducts - a pretty good souvenier! But, yeah - the marines are holding up well under pressure, a bit too fond of the 10mm caseless maybe, but so long as we have an atmosphere processor, we'll be fine!"

The stars were out in the arena too, and the Echo met up with two crerw members of the JMC mining vessel Red Dwarf, and sat in on a Q&A session, where they were answering such probing questions as 'what is a smeg?' **

Image

Image

Your reporter made his way around the arena, looking over the various wares, and keeping an eye out for bugs, sadly finding none. A predator did appear for a spell during the day, but he must have been neutered; he did nothing more than slightly menace a small child.

The time came for the Echo to head back to base, so we left the masses to nom various candies, buy various stuffs and hassle various actors, secure in the knowledge that the Corps is ever vigilant. Semper Fi.

I thought you were already a Sarge. The Weyland Yutani Echo would be more than happy to print a retraction if we've made a small oversight!

I'm a Corporal, technically.
Chain Of Command diagrams don't mean shit when it all goes to hell, though.

Cause I was too busy being vyvyan. Plus the con reports shoukd come from a different source each time. The scientist bit would get old if i did every report that way.

Quoted for truth. Endless science reports would be dull.
