The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Incase you haven't seen it yet, this months Empire magazine has a brilliant (at least 20 pages) feature on the Aliens films and some cool stuff on the Marines.

Thought you might like to know! :xeno:

Looks like Trevor might have even name-dropped the UKCM. I can't wait to read it!

But did they mention MEEEEEEEEEEEE!, or my hive-bros and sisters?

Sorry if I double posted another thread over on off topic but I did check the forum before typing. I suppose there is a bit of a lag with the iPhone cos I've not been online for a couple of weeks due to problems.

No mate. I knew they were doing a special but hadn't seen it until yesterday.
Seems to be the usual praise for the first two films, discussing the Alien 3 problems whilst calling it a disappointment and scorn for the forth -- pretty much what you'd give a generic readership. But for us, yawn...
There is a new interview with Weaver though that I'm interested in reading.

I spoke to Trevor about his interview and he didn't recall being spoken to at all! However, we know how forgetful Trevor can be ("for reasons unknown"/"No, not for reasons unkown")
In the interview 'Trevor' mentions Darrens fan film and claims to be playing Weirzbowski in it -- either Trevor was forgetful here or (more likely) they found Darrens fan film site by Googl'ing and made the interview up (common practise).
Also those guys have been on the AL from time to time.

I will ask Trevor to clarify when he's seen the mag, unless Darren speaks to him first and posts here.

Yeah, I did notice that - Trev allegedly says:

[ Fan mythology has it that Weirz is still out there ]

"He is!" [ Steedman assures us ] "I just played him in a fan film by the UK Colonial MArine Corps. He runs special ops for Weyland Yutani."

Running special ops is right but his character name in the film is his own one "Steedman", definitely not Weirzbowski. Although, it is hinted at very subtly that he used to be a Colonial Marine.

Nice for us to get a mention though :)

Cheers

D
