The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Monster Room kit

I have pinched bits and pieces from Gareth's, Prophet's and Jez's build to help
I have picked a base suit of a 2 mm summer wet suit as I like its look the best (yes I realise I will be hampered by heat, but just didnt like the way the TK undersuit hung off me!)

no real surprises to the build

mounted on PLCE harness with zip attached under the sternum

tail attached with poppers and velcro

overlap with the back piece and held down with velcro

basic mounting

Awesome blending with the wetsuit, but I don't envy you wearing the full set! Make sure to hydrate!!

I know what you mean. Thankfully I mostly do events in the North of England, and I am used to taking a lot of breaks!

I always make the same mistakes with my costumes, look over comfort!!!

Once in it, doesnt feel so bad, its trying to get it off!! I have also cut slots into the chest and back (you can just abt see it on the shot with the suit on the floor) in a attempt to have heat vents! Also my crotch is kinda open under the cod piece :D

I am debating on colour, as much as I would like the colour scheme of the ALIENS version, the browniness does look quite right in the cold light of day outside of studio lighting

might give in with black and silver with brown weathering....

I suspect that I will only be able to do 1 or 2 hr in my latexed suit though rofl!

The AE is actually quite a good first outing for a Xenomorph - the venue has very fine A/C and we make the dark areas very cold. For dramatic effect but mostly just to make the beasties happy.
