The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi Folks. I have posted my hello's on the main threadboard, and felt I should say "hi" more locally but I couldn't find an introduction thread here.

So, Hi:)

I'm Gary, based in Edinburgh. Looking for others in the area of course. I'm able to travel to some degree. I know kit isn't necessary, but hey, where's the fun otherwise?;)

At this point I don't have any marine armour. Can't afford spats prices, nor entirely happy about the wait...upto a year now? Anyway. I do have bdu's in various hues of green and tan, and could put together an 'on base, offduty' type kit. Or even a colonist outfit

I also have A Deckard Trenchcoat, shirt and tie, as well as a non-firing PKD m2019, which might work as a more 'corporate' or civilian bughunter outfit.

I'm open to suggestions and ideas, and looking forward to maybe even joining Hadrians Wall

atb,

Gary

Welcome,

Perhaps you can contact Spat to sort out a deal money or time vise buying only parts, etc.

DS Pilot Suits are cheap and mostly easy to find ... , to make it short don't worry.

Hey Hyde, thanks. I'm looking forward to wandering around all the boards, and attending any events I can:)

577_ops, it's an idea but whilst the armour is pretty I'm loathe to spend that kind of money on plastic, unless it really would save my life, haha. Unless I come into some extra cash then it's not likely. I do have a British police riot jumpsuit now I come to think of it. At the moment, I think I'm leaning towards a prospector, or similar.

Thanks guys for the welcomes:)

Well, in the meantime until you can get your marine gear together, you can always join the evil corpor- err, I mean wonderfully charitable, puppy and orphan-loving, friendly Weyland Yutani!

Hard working dupes- err highly skilled miners or terraformers are always welcome! :)

I usually have a few bits and pieces I can loan out to folk who want to attend a Drop and have no kit of their own, depending on your size...

Hey Scapey, that's great. I'm 5'10(ish) ;) And depending on whether I've been training for the mudder again I range from 12-14st. I'll do my best to put something together. I do think you guys need a 'rep-detect' along at some point, never know when a 'skinjob' is going to show up and get antsy with the synthetics;)

Hi prophet, thanks for the link. Having had a look, the armour is very nice. Has the advantage of not needing import duty and stupidly high postage as well. Something to consider:)
