The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I hope this isn't seen as an imposition, but I would like to propose a Dress Code for Formal Occassions, on Long Distance Drops (eg Dragon Con)
Due to certain Baggage Restrictions, Class C Uniform would be an impossible luxury, so a version based upon Fully Badged and uncustomised BDU would seem to be a solution.
From The Top, A White M1 Helmet Liner, White Gloves, Webbing Belt, Sidearm in Holster and White Leggings. These Items can be bought in the US, as they were a part of the MP Uniform in WWII.
I hope that this could be a solution for Colour Parties, which would elevate them out of the ordinary.

A lot of us already have a class C uniform, based on what Gorman wears.

We normally wear it for formal occasions, DragonCon parade colour guard etc.

The white MP gear was most often only for wear with a Class A uniform anyway. In the field and most garrison-type situations, it was the same GI kit with just an armband, Pistol belt kit and MP insignia on the helmet.

IIRC, many of those at D*Con also wear full dress blues with all the white gubbins, especially the Colour detail.

No worries - worth a try anyway...

Class Cs are pretty much the shirt, pants, shoes and hat. They take up about as much room as a suit. Well, for me less, but damn those heels take up some room!

I am really glad we started adding the Class Cs as a uniform. If I ever get over to the UK for a drop, believe me, this is probably what I will be bringing!
