 Post subject: UKCM Co-ordinators/rotas for NSC September

Hi all

This year we're assigning roles to cover specific elements of the UKCM side of things. The roles are as follows:

Alien Encounter Co-Ordinator - Skapunk
Guest Liason (Non U.S. guests) - Plasticprincess
Bug Hunts - Scapey
Display tables - Clanger68
Nerf Range - Bazfish
Info desk - Teckno Viking

I need two volunteers to take charge of the last two items. It will be your responsibility to make sure the tables are manned at all times and are ready to go in the mornings.
Each of the people above will have 2 or 3 other people assigned to them and between those 3 or 4 people in total that will make up the team for each area.
The info desk will be selling the Cast Q&A tickets each day and handing out booklets for the kids to collect stickers in to get a go on the Nerf range. As well as pointing people in the right direction for stuff that is going on.

The rotas for the AE and the other UKCM areas will be posted as soon as Richard and I have a chance to get together. If possible I will produce individual rotas in liason with the co-ordinators above.

Please post here if you would like/feel able to take on one of the remaining roles.

Which role did you want Jason? I think Info desk maybe. You've got a large presence and would be good at attracting peoples attention and pointing them the right way etc.

I may escape for short periods putting a sub in charge of desk whilst I do the Security detail outside the AE :D Gotta scare em BEFORE they get in :D

As said, you'll have 2 or 3 people on your team, as it were, and it's up to you to make sure the desk is always manned. Obvioulsy trying to make sure that everyone gets to see everything over the two days where possible.

The AE teams are as per the thread relating to that:

Team 1 will do Saturday 10:00 to 12:30 and Sunday 13:30 to 17:00
Team 2 will do Saturday 13:30 to 17:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 12:30

The show times are as follows:

10:45
11:15
11:45
12:15
13:30
14:00
14:30
15:00
15:30
16:00
16:30

The only difference this year is that the show normally at 15:45 has been moved forward to 15:30 so that there is a consistent 30 minutes between them all and two extra shows have been added at the end of the day.

The Bug Hunts will be co-ordinated by Scapey and will have to consist of people from the AE Team 2 and whoever else may be available. These will have to take place Saturday before 13:30 and Sunday after 12:30 as his team will be in the AE at other times.

Rotas for each of the other areas will be done by the co-ordinators nearer the time and once the schedule of the overall event is finalised to make sure people see as much as possible whilst still keeping everything fully staffed.

Amendment to first post. Bazfish will now be co-ordinating the Nerf Range. Geordi will still be there but real life is preventing him from commiting to this in the build up to the event.

I think we have everyone we need now to cover the areas. With barely a month to go I think everyone has had plenty of opportunity to put their name down that is going to.

With the AE lists now finalised I think we can close the sign up for tables. Anyone now wanting to come will have to pay for entry.

Just wondering given that the shows run all day right up to 5pm whether it might be possible to do an extra show at around 10:15, just for other UKCM guys/friends and also to act as a final rehearsal.
