The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Christopher Henn has now been announced :)

Bill Weston has also been announced (stunts on Aliens)

I think we should definitely have a word with Showmasters about attending in an official capacity, we've done their shows before so I don't see why they would say no.

As for an honour guard though, I don't see how that would work at a show like this. The guests basically just sit behind desks that the public can only stand in front of and not get behind. I don't think showmasters would want us standing behind there and we would be in the way standing in front. Escorting them from one place to another isn't likely to happen either I would think. Good idea though but not something I really see as necessary for this.

Cheers

Darren

LFACC tends to be tightly packed as far as guests are concerned. If you need a mental image to work from, just think battery hens.

I will be contacting the organisers about the show and getting the UKCM involved.

Not to rain on anyone parade.

I did a bit of reading on the hotel that some of us are staying at.

Is simple but ok. The main problem was not many towels at the hotel and the that the TV only got 5 channels. The TV I do not care about but the towel I do so I will be bring up some towels.

Make sure you bring shower gel, tooth paste and maybe hand wash.

Most people breakfast was simple but good.

But for £75 per night for 3 people in the middle of London, I can live with that!!!

Great news on the extra guest.

Sorry I have not look for train time tables as I been spending time as work these days machining parts.

Hi Steve,

We've booked our trian tickets.

Honiton to London Waterloo:
18 July - departs Honiton 14:38, arrives Waterloo 17:45.

Waterloo to Honiton:
20 July - departs Waterloo 19:15, arrives Honiton 22:23.

It was cheaper to buy 4x single tickets, than 2x return tickets.

Didn't bother getting the Underground tickets in advance, we'll just get them when we get there.

Cheers,
Karyn and Andy

[ Scapey, on Kat's shiny new account... ]

We're considering it... Sadly, the hotel we stayed in when we had a wee holiday at the start of May is full. ?It's within walking distance from Earl's Court, too.

But the Easyhotel 2 doors down has rooms.
£40 per night for a room for two. Cabin style. No windows, but aircon. TV = extra.

Hmm...

It is the South Kensington hotel on West Cromwell road.
About a ten minute walk to Earls Court.

This is Kat this time! :)

There's actually two on the page, one at Kensington and one at Earl's Court.
6 / .5doz I think, since the Kensington one was very close anyway.

We can be hotel buddies!
I'll bring some breakfast fromage!

Hi Steve,

Try looking for a single fare up and another single fare back, it might work out cheaper than getting a return fare.

Thats what I did, and saved quite a bit.

Cheers,
Karyn
