The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Just had an email from the organiser of the show

Quote:
Hi Darren,

I cant thank you enough for you and the guys coming to our event, the response was great and I had one of the best days ever along with many other people. We are thinking about doing another but I think it would be better in the summer. I know you took your own photos on the day but if you send me your address I shall send you a copy of the video footage of the day which is quite good along with photos.

Again Many Thanks for your efforts, the costumes and the acting\contact with the people was spectacular.

Regards

David

Nice of him to follow up after the show.

I'll check with him when it arrives that it's OK for me to post the video footage and if so I'll put it up on my site.

Cheers

Darren

Well done all :D

*cough* *sniffle*

Wished we could have made it, but we did spend most of yesterday wrapped up in a duvet either unconscious or watching Top Gear on Dave.

I think the point where I nearly passed out on the garage forecourt after filling the car up for the trip was the sign that it might not be the best idea.

So, no 100% drop record for me in 2007 :(

Certainly looks like you guys had fun there

But jeez do I cringe when I see that facehugger of mine, minus the painted mush or whatever you want to refer to it as

If memory serves me right I ran out of suitably coloured paint to do that part as it was right upto the 11th hour ( well nearly midnight stood in my shed of doom )for Star Wars Day 9 getting it all done, so it was stuck on it's display stand with it's back to the crowd.

The thing could probably do with some TLC anyway I suspect. Andy either slap some pink paint in there chief or give us a shout and I'll come pick the lil fella up and spruce him up a bit.

Talking of such things looks like my doggy burster's gone a bit wobbly as well poor thing. Just use a hairdryer ( best ask Karen there m8, don't think you need one  ) and just bend the vinyl legs back into shape and there you go.

And on a slight derailment here, any chance anyone's got any piccies of the display from Star Wars Day 9? More specifically my AVP alien head that was there. Just that I've got no images of the thing at all and wanted to get hold of one.

Cheers

Chris

Which kit is that, BTW? I love it in an almost unhealthy way! (might be why he's wobbly on his pins ;) ;) )

Too much info

Seeing it has been displayed I figured it was being put to good use, just never realised just how much lol.

It's an origial Halcyon one that I managed to find a few years back. Actually I'm sure I've got a knock off repo one that's unmade lying around here stashed away in a goodies box. I'll see if I can dig it out. Although painting the thing and trying to get the blood effect looking half decent was an exercise in losing my sanity
