The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

As Fraz has volunteered his plastic for this dangerous mission, it seems best he gets paypaled (is that even a word? is now)

Me and fraz will have a discussion about the minibus tomorrow and will post here when the coast is clear to pay.

PS: The price may go down as we have another person mulling over going. He's not part of the forum... but is an acquaintence. If he confirms he's going and shows us the cash.. thats £60 a head!

Right

The Minibus is booked and mostly paid for. Everyone just bring your fare with you and help stop Fraz' credit card from smoking.

Lets start organising our rally point and times shal we.

I take it the northeners will be heading down to Fife?
If so I have a spare bed and plenty of floor space for a camp bed or sleeping bag toting visitor.

Facts to consider:
I'll be picking the minibus up early on the Friday morning.
The minibus won't be as rapid as our cars so it'll take us longer to get to Leicester.. I'd estimate 7 hours, maybe 8.

So hows about a 10 am launch from Fife?
In the interests of speed and time... I think it wise for us all to rally at one point the night before and then pile on and get going.

No offence to Scape and Kat, but the diversion to their place generaly costs us 2 to 3 hours. On top of the traveling time, we'd never get down to Leicester in time to allow Sixty to take part in the AE rehersals.

Yuo want Kat and I to get to Fıfe to start?
Wıth all our gear?

Not really doable I'm afraıd, specıally not wıth babysıtters beıng as they are.

We can possıbly get to Glasgow Cıty Centre but that's about ıt...

Also, Gareth and myself were planning on going to Fraz's place on Thursday night! :p

Just to throw another spanner in the works.

If it makes it easier, I'm more than happy to kip on the floor anywhere, even outside if need be.

EDIT:

Additionally, I don't care how early I need to be up, when I need to be anywhere, or how long things take. :)

EDIT EDIT:

C'mon folks, we're the United Kingdom Colonial Marine Corps! We can't let a little travel difficulties stop us...

Gear?
Helmet, Armour, clothes (possible food too) should fit in two wheelie suitcases and a holdall?

The bus driver for the Glasgow - Dunfermline route will open the cargo hold on request.

I'll talk to you about ıt when we get back, but we were operatıng under the assumptıon that the plan would ınvolve nothıng more than meetıng ın Glasgow ıf not East Kılbrıde when we sıgned up for the mınıbus optıon. I don't thınk Kat would be pleased at havıng to go from EK to Glasgow then from Glasgow to Fıfe just to begın the trıp - And as I say, we're not sure yet what's happenıng babysıtter wıse.

I assume for now that we are lımıted to meetıng somewhere Kat's mother wıll be wıllıng to gıve us a lıft to, as she'll be the one doıng the babysıttıng therefore she'll be the one who has fınal say - And she normally ısn't avaılable untıl 10am anyway, even when she's babysıttıng so I can go to work!

Well, we'll see whats what.
Its gonna be tight on time... thats the only issue. Time.
I'm sure we'll work something out: :)

The fact that everyone else will be gathered at Fraz' place will cut down the time needed to load even more so that might give us something to play with.

See, my only issue is traveling along that god forsaken A80/M8 or M9 early on a weekday morning. We'll get caught up in traffic which will severely eat away at our time.

If it'll make it any easier, as far as I know I appear to be the only Hadrian's Wall member doing AE, so I'd be happy to travel totally seperately from Stonehaven to Leicester by train if it makes everyone else's life a bit easier with regards to timings etc.

I don't think its quite come to that yet my good man.

We'll do doubt get something sorted. Probably involving me being outside the minibus hire depot door for 8am.

Well with so little time and moving house recently. I have my doubts that I can actually attend this event again! With money issues and no hotel ect. I have not had the enough prep for this. Sorry in advance guys!!
