Anyone know which Android browsers work with the chat option? May be useful for people to know. i recently started using dolphin HD and that loads chat but will not allow me to input as it wont bring up the keyboard. I have only tried on my phone - LG Optimus 3D running a custom rom but i also have a Acer Iconia A500 tablet although cant test that yet as its having wifi issues

Im not one myself for using the chat function but maybe its useful for others to know which android browsers work. it may be useful if you need to know something PDQ - well if anyone is in there lol

The chat doesn't work on my phone (HTC Wildfire) but I put that down to the slow processor and the fact that it struggles with all things Flash. Anything that runs the newer versions of Android (like Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich) should be OK, tho don't quote me on that.

ive got honeycomb on my xoom and it works fine.
it also works on my phone with gingerbread, but i have to connect a wireless keyboard asthe phone keyboard wont appear

UKCM Black ops

My Acer Iconia runs the latest version of honeycomb but the wifi keeps cutting out when i open a browser. i could probably reflash it but to be on the safe side imay take it back to hmv.

maybe its a bug with older versions of Android using flash not bringing up the virtual keyboard. Using a bluetooth keyboard would just be too much hassle for me but anyway a good suggestion to anyone else that has one.

I'm still only running 2.2.1 (Froyo). No update love for me. I would ROM it but I think it's still in warranty.

I'd much rather just use my laptop anyway.

You're ok if you get a flashable back up of the stock firmware and flash tool. Im on my second optimus 3D. i had to reflash the first to send it back and had no worries. you probably already know but try XDA developers

You do realise there are browsers on iPad which can run Flash?

I use Puffin:

Latest update added an extra keyboard and a trackpad and mouse pointer (for games which need mouse control).

Just tried the chat room and it worked fine in Puffin.

I've been told that it causes the iPad to crash and close the page down that your on,is that right!
