It's a very difficult time money wise for everybody but to make things like this to happen it often takes money in advance. In the case of this NSC dinner it is very reasonable.

As Malika just said, you can now email her and reserve a place until you get paid. So if you're lucky enough to be able to afford to go to DCon but not book this dinner straight away, shoot Malika an email to reserve a place and settle up before the 16th. This should make it possible for more people to attend.

Jason, as said we need to fill sixty seats. That's why if they're not all sold or reserved by next Friday (19th) the remaining seats will be made public. So everyone here can attend but obviously you should either reserve or pay for a ticket before that time. Since there's around 40 or more attending from this board it shouldn't be a problem and we can all help Malika by getting our reservations or payment over to her asap.
Once again I'd like to thank Malika for making this possible or we could've just been sat around at the hotel on a Saturday night.

This event is not about a closed party Jas, it's an Aliens celebration for all and I hope we do get some other non AL people there. The 25th anniversary is bigger than us and if we are to be the best Aliens fan group then I hope we can lead by example and include other members of the fan community. Having said that, of course we should all be there and that's why we all have fair warning and ample time to put our reservations in to Malika. There are enough seats for us and a few left over for others. We have been given a head start on anyone else because it's important to include all of us that are working on this years event. Unfortunately, the venue capacity is 70 so we won't be able to include as many of the public as we would have liked. But as said before it's a great venue which came to our rescue when other places where booked up.

True points Andrew and yes New blood I guess is a Good thing to be hunting for as well as celebrating the 25th Anniv of ALIENS.

I'm one of those that thought the dinner was UKCM only. Though it really makes no difference to me if it's opened to members of the public or not.

The thing that's annoyed me is that we had a sign up list of nearly 50. Now it's time to pay, where is everybody? Yes, D*Con is soon. We're all short of money. But Malika is being kind enough to allow people to reserve their places and not pay until next month. Come peeps, get your names on the list!
