The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Not sure if anyone's going to be interested but I had the strange idea to host a 'movie night' at the end of the month. I've got access to a little 'cinema' and thought it would be nice to meet up outside of a convention setting, watch some films, chat and eat some pizza. ;)

So, what do you think? Are you up for it?

Sounds nice - anything with pizza is good. ;)

Don't get your hopes up... It's got a big screen, surround sound and raked seating but it's not quite your local Odeon. ;)

Sounds good, provided I'm not working on the specific date.

Well, I was thinking the last weekend of the month - Saturday 26th. How's that for people?

Well, I only picked the 26th as I thought it would give people time to organise themselves (I'm talking about myself here ;) ). If you'd prefer another date that we can all agree on then that's cool as well.

Yep, it'll be in Portsmouth but you won't have to go through the city or worry about parking.

As for the film - well, I was thinking Aliens ;) But really it's up to group preference. Any suggestions?

Oh God! Not High School Musical!!!! I prefer Hannah Montana. ;)

You can wear your armour if you like. If people want to we could make it into a prop party as well.

Sorry for the lack of reply over the weekend.

So, what's happening then? Shall we make it Saturday 26th April or would you prefer a different date (earlier/later) so we can get more people along for the fun? I can pretty much fit in with the rest of you.

If it's definitely the 26th April I might be able to come, although I'm not sure when the build and rehearsals start for the event I'm doing throughout May. Having said that my contract currently starts on the 29th April, but I bet it gets pushed back.

So to sum up; I'm probably in, if available! :)

OK... a couple of votes for the 26th. Place will be Portsmouth, Hampshire. As for the time I was thinking mid-afternoon (3ish?) and then it can go on for as long as we like.

BTW - if anyone wants to see more than Aliens from the Quadrilogy (or any of the Predator films for that matter) then you'll have to bring your own boxset... I'm such a bad fan. LOL! Any other suggestions for movies we could watch?

How about ADC's Alien Encounters documentary? Someone should take that along.

Oh, that's a shame. :(

I can't watch 'The Thing' - it freaks me out big time!

Yeah, should be good to go. :)

Probably won't stay late though, so may plan to leave by 8pm at latest.
