The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

This is the thread I`d like to keep my team under control (you know we`re the baddest Marines in the UKCM) and you need a HARD Task Master and Leader and for that you get the TECKNO VIKING Disipline

So Sound off Marines:-
Glenn,
CheifProfanity,
Cheifprofanity's Other half.

Stay tuned to this thread for any incoming info that needs to be relayed.

Also I would like choices for which of the shows you guys want to attend as these are BOTH ONE SHOT shows, so I would like it if you could only choose ONE of them and the others would do the other (if they wished):-

On Sat who wants to be able to attend the FX Panel?
On Sun who wants to attend Terry English Colonial Marine Panel?

The Prometheus Panel, ALIEN Anthology, 25 years of ALIENS:Guest Panel and of course ALIEN Encounter screening, being the same times both days, we can take turns.
http://forum.alienslegacy.com/download/file.php?id=5389&mode=view

If you have a preference, pipe up here so we can hammer it out.

So Marines, for the FX OR Armour I`d like you to sound off which one you would like to attend (remember only one please, to give the others chance to catch one of the two one off shows).

FYI

As stated before, everyone who is expecting to get free entry to the event will have to be either in the AE as team 1 or 2 or on a Rota for one of the other areas. Otherwise you will have to pay to get in.

I would imagine that no one will be on their designated table for more than 2 hours (possibly less) at a time. The more volunteers, the less time also.

Cheers

Darren

Rich

If you would be happier just wandering around and taking photos then simply paying to get in would be the best option. The display tables would be your only option anyway really. My personal opinion is that the Info desk, being first point of contact, should be manned by people in costume (just my opinion). The Nerf range, I think, should only be manned by marine types. So the displays would be your second option after just paying. If your happy to do some stints on there then I'm sure Clanger can add you to the rota, but if you would be happier doing your own thing that's cool. tis only a mere £13 for both days, bargain :)

Cheers

Darren

Yeah maybe your right, I will probably do behind the scenes stuff, fetching carrying go here, get that I dont mind that, we'll work it out at the time I'm sure i can find something. :)

To quote Ripley, 'i dont want to be a fifth wheel' LOL

Like i said before ive looked after peoples stuff before. I have my backpack I can keep stuff on me that maybe others cant keep on them and they need someone they can trust to keep an eye on it. Ive done that before on a drop or two.

Valid points Darren for Rich BUT those on the INFO and DISPLAY desks will be "mostly" geared as Colonial Marines too you know not just AE and Nerf range staff.

Well as said Glenn in the first post, the main issue are the two ONE OFF showings mate. the others are all repeated on Sunday so easier to arrange.

If I can "BORROW" a Colonial Marine for Sat FX time then you three can go (or maybe I`ll be really GOOD and wing the desk on my Own :p) as I want a minimum of two manning the desk. If not afraid one of you will have to forgo, the price of free entry and working for the UKCM I`m afraid.

If not we`ll settle it the old fashion way.......... FIGHT PIT, one weapon and three people, first one down loses. Sounds fair to me and entertaining, can eat the donuts Chris brings whilst I watch :D

Can you drive this loader, here? You have a Class Two rating, right? :D

Actually, do you have a suit? Maybe from your Doorman days?
I'm down as a Lab-Rat, but an alternative option/time-filler was to go as a Company rep, maybe selling tickets for the AE or summat.

How would that sound?

I know you're good with people, too - You handled a mischevious Michael Ironside with stunning aplomb!

Hi Jason

Yeah, I know that bud. I was just giving my opinion that the info desk and Nerf range should ONLY be people in costumes.

I know Rich is thinking of doing an Android type, Security maybe? Rich I did the Exterior Security on the AE when they queue to get in and had fun winding them up with how bad it was. So that at least would be another way as well a WY Security Droid for a duration.

Darren I know mate though all Manned area/sections of the UKCM will be costumed or so I figure.

Money wise i have nowt spare. The extra cash ive been harping on about for days wasnt enough after the tax man got it. I'm getting there on a friends good graces! I'll see what i can do, no promises. Plenty of time we can work something out. :)

Well all in your hands and the hands of the gods then Rich. If you can pull the WY droid part well that in itself makes it costumed and more viable for one of the tables (Props and or Info) as a volunteer or AE external Security :D

The point I was making is that some people on the rotas may or may not have costumes (I believe everyone does but am not 100%). My point was that if someone is on the rota or wants to be and they do not have a costume, then that's OK but they would probably be best placed on the Display tables area. Anyway, it's not an issue.

I'll PM you later by the way with specifics of what the Info desk will be doing other than just pointing people in the right direction.

Cheers

Darren
